We celebrated Mike's 81st birthday yesterday! It's hard to believe that he is that old. He is definitely young at heart and doesn't look his age at all. Eric took us to the Harvest restaurant at Thanksgiving Point on Friday night to celebrate. The food was so good and we had a great time together. Last night, I took Mike to the movies to see "The War With Grandpa." It was light and funny and just what we needed. It was fun to be in the movie theater eating movie theater popcorn!

For our Sunday dinner, Joel and Erin joined us along with Eric, Hannah, Chase and Violet. We had Mike’s request of chicken, rice and gravy plus Erin brought a delicious salad and Eric roasted yummy butternut squash. We had German Chocolate Cake for dessert. We celebrated Joel’s 44th (October 16) and Mike’s 81st (October 17). Mike says Joel missed being born on his birthday by two hours.
