Todd, Kimiko and their boys came down from Logan Friday night and stayed overnight. On Saturday, we took them and Violet to Thanksgiving Point to beautiful Ashton Gardens. They were setting up for the scarecrow festival which is next week, so we got a little sneak preview of that.
Violet was fascinated by the Elsa, Anna, and "Christoff" scarecrows.
Logan took a lot of interest and care in Violet. It was so sweet!
The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. It's amazing to see the gardens in all four seasons. All are beautiful in their own way.
One of the most touching parts of our walk was in the "Light the World" statue garden. Violet was so sweet and tender with the statues of the Savior. She became very reverent and looked up at Him as if she were really seeing Him and talking to Him. Little children are so precious and so close to the spirit.
This last picture is of the First Vision. It is so amazing how the sculptor made the Father and the Savior appear as if they are standing in the air above Joseph Smith. Such a beautiful depiction of that sacred event.
