Colorado Springs, September 2020

We arrived in Colorado Springs around noon on Wednesday, September 16th. We stayed the four nights we were there with Ryan and Ali. We saw a lot of Tyler and his family as well. We had dinner with Jaimee one night with all of us at a fun pizza place called Dion's which the kids all love.

We were so lucky to be able to be there during the parade of homes! We saw some beautiful homes!

We also got to go to the zoo with Ali, Sadie, Claire, and Quinn.

It was fun getting to watch Tucker’s flag football game and Sophie and Sadie’s soccer match. They are good little athletes!

It was also fun just to hang out and enjoy each other’s company! We had a great time our last night just hanging out in Ryan and Ali's back yard, playing games, eating s'mores, and having a dance party.

We left on Sunday morning and had a gorgeous Fall drive home via I -70. We stopped and bought a bunch of peaches in Palisades! We were glad the highway was open thru Glenwood canyon because they had a terrible fire there a couple of weeks ago and it was closed. I took all these pictures from inside the car as we were driving down the freeway!

The aftermath of the Glenwood Springs Canyon fire. So sad.

It was a wonderful trip and we are so glad we went on this adventure. Life gets pretty heavy so sometimes you just gotta get up and go!  It’s amazing what a change of scenery can do for your soul!
