Mike, Eric, Hannah, and I arrived in Logan on Tuesday, August 11th, so that Mike and I could go to the temple with Kimiko and Todd for Kimiko's first time through. The temple is such a wonderful place and we were thrilled to be there with them. After the temple session, we went to dinner with some of Kimiko's family. Ryan and Ali were also able to join us. We had a delicious dinner of chinese food and sushi at the Black Pearl Restaurant in Logan. How could we go wrong eating at the Black Pearl?

Todd and Kimiko with Gary and Nancy Kamo.
Todd stopped by our motel for a last minute hug from mom before heading to meet his bride at the temple. He was so excited and couldn't stop smiling!
They entered the temple as Todd Griffith and Kimiko Kamo and came out as Mr. and Mrs. Todd Griffith. They are a beautiful couple and their sealing was very special.
Kimiko looking to give her dad a big hug.
Congratulations to the happy couple.
All my kids were able to be there except for Justin. We sure missed him. We love all the wonderful daughter-in-laws we are getting in the family.
Most of "the brothers."
Some of Kimiko's family.
Todd and Kimiko with Grandpa Don and Grandma Wanda. Don was able to perform their sealing and it was one of the most beautiful and special sealings I have been to. They are such dear and wonderful people.
Here's our side of the family that were able to come. From Mike's side we had Melecia and Rhett and their five kids, Glen and Kendi and their two kids, and Paul and Joni. From my side we had Tyler and Jaimee, Ryan and Ali, Todd and Kimiko, and Eric and Hannah. We also had Don and Wanda Wood, Lars Eggertsen (Mike's stepbrother) and my nephew Brandon Brady and his wife Amanda and their baby. It was so much fun to have so many of our family members there in one place!
Mike and I with our two little kids!! How can they be growing up so fast?
My sweet friend, Cindi Ingersoll, was able to come too. She is such a support to me and I was thrilled to have her there.
After pictures were over, we headed over to the Olive Garden for a really nice luncheon. I think because Ryan and Ali both work there they treated us extra special. We had a nice room all to ourselves and we had about 10 waiters meeting our every need. The food was really great and it was fun to have a chance to relax, eat, and socialize.
Part of our happy group.
So who is missing? The bride and groom were a little late. I guess the photographer went a little crazy with pictures of them after the rest of us left. They finally showed up and it was a lot of fun.
The happy couple enjoying their first meal as husband and wife.
Kimiko's brother was good enough to furnish a cake and since they weren't having their official reception for another week, we had them cut this cake! It was delicious!! It was a perfect wedding and a perfect day!We spent the night in Logan and then the next day we headed to Bear Lake for our family reunion. The details of our wonderful reunion will come in my next blog!
On Friday, August 21st, we flew to Boise so that we could go to Todd and Kimiko's reception and ring ceremony in Ontario, Oregon. Kimiko grew up in Vale, Oregon, which is about 45 minutes from Boise. Their reception/ring ceremony was held at a friend's home in Ontario which is close to Vale.
We stayed at my brother Bob and his family's home in Caldwell. We had such a fun visit with them and enjoyed spending time with them before and after the Oregon festivities.
When we arrived in Ontario, Ali and Jaimee helped Hannah with her hair. I love this picture of Hannah's sister-in-laws being so sweet and helpful to her. She always wanted a sister and now she not only has Melecia, but Jenny, Kendi, Joni, Jaimee, Ali, and Kimiko!! She's a lucky girl.
Kimiko getting lots of help with her dress!
Time for more pictures! It was very hot outside and it felt like we were all melting, but everyone was a good sport about having lots of pictures taken.

After all the picture taking was done, they had the ring ceremony. Kimiko's home Bishop performed the ceremony and did a very nice job. They exchanged rings and kissed again as husband and wife.
Then the dinner and reception began. They had a bounty of delicious food and a great DJ and lots of fun dancing.

The wedding party. I loved the colors and loved the background with the bare trees. It had a very nice oriental feel about it.
Kimiko's very talented Aunt made their beautiful and yummy cake.
They were very sweet about cutting the cake and feeding it to each other.

The couple's first dance.
We all enjoyed dancing the night away. It was a great reception! We loved meeting so many of Kimiko's family and friends. It was another perfect day/night.
This is the front of the home where the reception was held. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was built to resemble Mount Vernon and has two side wings that come off the main house in the front. It was a great place to have a wedding reception. Kimiko, Todd and her family and friends did a great job! One more celebration to go! We have an open house coming up in Longmont on September 5th. We are excited to keep the fun going.

Thank you my dear one for posting the wedding and our special time with new inlaws. Our family continues to grow with so many beautiful and fine people. Hannah really has blossomed with all those sisters-in-law. Our family reunion really for me capped the joy of our family time together. It has been a busy and happy time for us. Love you. Mike

I really love the picture of the family at Bear Lake - it turned out great, Kendi! The Oregon reception & ring ceremony looked really fun, and I know you'll have a great time this week at the reception in Colorado. Good luck and have fun!
