Most of you know that last fall Daisy got sick. She had a blood clot or a stroke that left her back legs paralyzed. The vet didn't think she'd recover, but she almost made a complete recovery. She gained full use of one of her legs, but still dragged the other along behind her. She was still super sweet and loveable and she learned to compensate quite well.A few weeks ago, she got sick again and we prayed that if she wasn't going to recover that she'd pass away quickly and that she wouldn't have to suffer and that we wouldn't have to make the decision as to whether to put her down or not.. She died a couple of days later. She just crawled outside and laid down on a warm rock and went to sleep and didn't wake up. When we found her she looked very peaceful and we knew our prayers were answers.
We have some friends who have a farm in Niwot and they let us come out and bury her there. We had a nice little prayer over her grave and shed a few tears. She was such a loved cat. Everyone loved her. So many people over the years--in fact, everyone who knew her loved her. We had lots of people who wanted to kidnap her and take her home with them. She was a cuddly companion and very social. She had a lot of fun with Max and then Molly. They spent many hours curled up in front of the fireplace together.
We miss our sweet Daisy!
