2010-2019, Decade Update

I thought it would be a good memory jogger to go back through my blogs and summarize some of the highlights from each year of the past decade.  So, here goes!

2010

Paul, Joni and baby Ellie lived in Longmont for several months with GE.
Sophie, Maggie and Sadie were born
Took a fun spring break cruise with Eric and Hannah to the Caribbean including Belize and Cozumel
Eric graduated from Niwot High School
My sweet mom, Jean Marie Gardner Brady, passed away in May in Nampa, Idaho
We celebrated our 20 year anniversary
Justin and Mega were married
Joel and Erin were married
 Eric started BYU
Fall trip to Atlanta, Charleston, and Virginia
Mike's sweet stepmom, Wanda, passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah

2011

Eric left for his mission to Jacksonville, Florida (Spanish) - diagnosed with Chron's Disease and was reassigned stateside instead of going to Cuernavaca, Mexico
Little Leila Belle was born and died--Justin and Mega's baby, she was born way too early
Moved to Springs Place home--Cottage on the Creek
Lots of trips to visit family and family visits to us-Utah, San Antonio, Atlanta
Thanksgiving trip to Atlanta, Savannah, DC, and Virginia
Hannah stars as Cosette in Les Mis at Niwot

2012

Hannah graduated from Niwot High School
Summer trip to southern Colorado with Eric and Hannah
Kira, Reese, Jaxon and Tucker were all born
Hannah started at Utah State University
Empty nest!
Trip to Lake Tahoe and San Francisco to visit Paul, Joni, Ellie, and new baby Reese
Bike ride across Golden Gate Bridge--adventure trip to celebrate being empty nesters
October General Conference announcement of mission age change-young men-18, young women 19!

2013

Italy with Nancy and Dale!
Hannah mission to Joao Pessoa Brazil--Sao Paulo CTM
1000 year flood in Longmont (Lefthand Creek)
Palm Springs (Nancy diagnosed with Breast Cancer)
San Antonio and Pennsylvania visits
Molly died just before Christmas

2014

Balboa Island
Eric returns from mission
Visit to Eric's mission with him
Family Reunion in Park City
Claire is born
Mission to Boston--July 2014-December 31, 2014, Nancy and Dale serving there also!
Temple workers at the Boston Temple and many, many New England adventures
 Eric comes to Boston for Christmas and to drive home with us.

2015

Hannah return from Brazil
Paul was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer--year of sickness and surgeries
Hannah moves to Provo, works and starts at BYU
Denver Temple Ordinance workers
We got Addie from Lori Davison
Micah Braithwaite lived with us for a few weeks
Tyler and Jaimee and Ryan and Ali move to Colorado Springs
Don Wood (Mike's stepmom, Wanda's husband) died
Lots of trips to Utah for Paul and Joni

2016

Logan, Nora, Austin and Quinn were born--helped out after each one was born
Broncos won the Super Bowl
Paul passed away from cancer in March
Hannah and Chase got married the Provo City Center Temple
Madison and Joseph got married in the Newport Beach California Temple
Disneyland with Hannah and Chase
BYU Education Week with Nancy and Dale
Alaska Cruise with Nancy and Dale

2017

2018

Violet was born January 16, at 29 weeks, 1 lb. 15 oz.
Emergency reassignment of our mission to SLC
Finished last year of our mission in the Family History Library-International Floor
Lots of time with Hannah, Chase, and Violet (also spent a lot of time with Eric)
Eric and Hannah both graduated from BYU!
Tucker diagnosed with Leukemia--trips to Colorado to help Tyler and Jaimee's family
Christmas with Hannah's family and Eric in Park City
End mission at the end of December, 2018

2019

Returned home to Longmont
Listed house in a week
House went under contract 6 days later
Found a house online in Lehi Utah which Hannah, Chase, Eric and our realtor, Barbara Madsen looked at with us on Facetime.  Loved it, made an offer and it was accepted!
Packed up house, sold and donated tons of our furniture and personal stuff
Closed on Longmont and Lehi houses
Moved all of our things in one 24 foot moving van including two pianos--miraculous! (Main St. Movers)
Finished Basement of Lehi house into an apartment and Hannah, Chase and Violet moved in
Babysitting trips to help Tyler's Ryan's and Todd's families
Sibling Cruise (Catalina and Ensenada)
Thanksgiving Point Grandparent passes
Lots of visitors
Began volunteering at the MTC in Provo (Immunization Clinic)
80th birthday party for Mike
Make a Wish trip for Tucker to Orlando with Tyler's family

It was a very busy and productive decade for us and for our family.  We are very blessed.  We are sad to have lost some of our dear parents and beloved, son, Paul.  They have left a big whole in our hearts and lives.  It was also very hard for Tucker to be diagnosed and treated for Leukemia.  Tucker is doing well and his prognosis is very good for a long and healthy life.  We don't take this life for granted and we hug and kiss our loved ones as much as possible.  Mike and I live by the saying, "Always Kiss Me Goodnight."  You just never know what tomorrow is going to bring.  Make the most out of every day!
