Our newest family member, our granddog, Bait! Eric got this darling little pup from a breeder in Heber. He's a Brittany Spaniel and he's adorable. Full of energy and wears Addie out completely!
Singing on a Sunday Afternoon! Melecia's family was in town getting Becca set up to start school at Weber State University in Ogden and to have a family reunion with all of their children. We got the treat of having them at our house for a day before their adventure began.
Jaydison and Violet hit it off well!
Best buds since they were babies, Uncle Eric and his niece Madison
We all went for shave ice, just another wonderful reason to live in Utah!
Here are some random pictures from some of the many adventures of our summer:
Hannah and her missionary companion, Emily Rigby (Sciamarella) with their baby girls at the butterfly pavilion at Thanksgiving Point. We are getting our money's worth from our grandparent membership there!
We got to attend Elizabeth Wheelwright's mission homecoming from Norway in Farmington. We were lucky to see our sweet from Margaret Stones from Longmont there.
Our front porch boarders! We didn't get the nest off before they layed their eggs so we waited and five baby swallows hatched and grew and flew away. They were pretty adorable. We removed the nest when they were all grown and gone, but the next day, they all came back and tried relentlessly to rebuild. We finally won the battle when we bought a life size plastic owl and put it out on the porch. They have not returned. Knock on wood!
Hannah and Chase celebrated their 3rd anniversary and went to dinner at the Treeroom in Sundance! We babysat sweeet Violet while they were out. Such a fun treat for everyone!
We went with our friends, Janice and Cal Simmons and Becky, Ron and Elizabeth Wheelwright to see the premier of "The Fighting Preacher." It was an excellent movie about a missionary couple who were sent to help the church get on better terms and try to purchase the Hill Cumorah in Palmyra, NY. They had a very unwelcoming start and ended up being there for over 25 years. It was a very heart-warming story of how love changes people's hearts.
Just when we thought we had seen all the summer flowers bloom, this tree popped out these beauties!
Sad, sad tale; our missionary car, our Toyota Corolla, blew a major engine gasket, and we ended up selling it to the repair guy who put in a new engine. It was a major loss for us financially but we ended up buying this beautiful, fun and brand new Hyundai Tucson. We were hoping to have the Corolla as a second car, but alas, we are still a one car family!!
