Mission Farewell Weekend, June 24-25, 2017

It's finally here!  Our mission farewell weekend!  Ryan and his family (plus Sophie) and Eric and Jake were able to be in Longmont for our special weekend.  We had to wrap things up with a fire in the backyard (my favorite thing) and Ali hasn't ever been to Estes Park, so we decided to do that on Saturday.  We had so much fun--The Stanley Hotel (looking for ghosts), pizza at Village Pizza, the Alluevial Fan waterfall, and Laura's for ice cream.

Sunday, Mike and I spoke in our Sacrament Meeting on giving our burdens over to the Lord. We have had so many miraculous tender mercies from the Lord in preparing for our mission. Sophie and Sadie sang, "I Hope They Call Me On A Mission."  They were darling and perfect in every way!  It was so special having them sing.  Ryan and Ali left shortly after church and left Sophie and Sadie with us for a couple of days of Grammy and Hampa time.  Eric and Jake left shortly after lunch.

Sunday night, our good friends, Dave and Katie Prestwich had an open house for us at their home.  It was so fun to see so many of our good friends from our ward come out and wish us well on our journey! We will miss them all so much!  Below are Janet and Kelly Jones who are another senior couple serving from our ward.  They are stay at home church photographers.  Amazing couple!  I can't believe this was our last Sunday in Longmont for a long time.  Seems surreal but so exciting!
