Life Goes On, Part 2, August 2013

Todd, Kimiko, Jaxon, and Kimiko's mom, Nancy Kamo on their way to Oxford, Mississippi where Todd and Kimiko and Jax start their new life and adventure at Ole Miss!  Todd is starting his PhD in Finance there in a couple of weeks.  It's an exciting few years ahead for their little family!
Jax and Grandpa at the piano.  He is quite a little music lover!! They both are!

It's so hard to see them go so far away, but so exciting for their little family to have this wonderful opportunity!  We are thrilled for them!

Thought I'd slip in a picture of Eric from Beaufort, South Carolina!  He is doing great and loving his mission in the deep south!

Speaking of Eric, his and Hannah's good friend from Niwot High School got baptized on August 17, 2013 in the Twin Peaks Young Single Adult Ward in Berthoud.  When Hannah returned home from Utah State University in May, she began attending the TPYSA Ward and invited Myles Ramos to come to some of the activities and to church.  She was leading the choir and asked him to come and sing with them.  He accepted and soon after started reading the Book of Mormon and having the missionary lessons.  He was ready and he accepted the challenge to be baptized!  It was shortly after Hannah left for Brazil, but Mike and I were able to go and represent our family.  He asked me to speak on the Holy Ghost and Mike gave the closing prayer. It was a very special day for all of us!  Hannah and Eric were absolutely thrilled!  Eric said it was about the happiest news he had ever heard!

We had the wonderful opportunity to house the missionaries for a few months earlier this year!  We absolutely loved it.  It felt like we had a house full of kids again!  Here are a couple of our missionaries that lived with us:

Elder Lane saying good-bye!  He's being transferred to Yuma, Colorado out on the Eastern Plains!

Our wonderful Zone Leaders, Elder Gibelyou and Elder Lane

A couple of other fun summer activities were our annual YW/YM water activity at the Woodbury's Lake and our Stake Carnival!

Pie Eating Contest with other Ward's Bishop's or Bishopric Members

Mike didn't win, but he sure gave it a good try!
They made it to Mississippi and they look happy so I guess Life is Good!
