We had planned a trip to California before the flood hit and so when it came time to go in October, it was a welcome change of scenery! We spent a long weekend in Huntington Beach and then headed to Palm Desert for a good part of a week to spend time with Nancy and Dale in a house they rented there. It was a beautiful trip and a much needed rest!

| We got off the plane, rented a car, and headed straight for the beach! We wanted to get there before the sunset! It was beautiful and so relaxing to just walk and breathe in all the sea air. |

| On Saturday, we had a family gathering at Nancy and Dale's house in HB. It was so fun to be with some of our awesome family members! |

| On Sunday, we went to church in Fountain Valley to see Marissa's daughter, Cachel's Primary Program and then hung out with Marissa's darling twins and hubby, Doug, and then Cierra and Alfredo came over and fixed us a delicious Taco soup for dinner. Later that night, we drove up to my sister, Kathy's place and watched the Bronco game with her and Keith. |

| Cashel and Kailea in the secret playroom under the stairs. It's amazing how quickly you feel right at home when you are with people you love and who make you feel so loved! We also got to spend time with Seth and Kim and their adorable kids, but somehow they didn't get in the photos (except for Ben). |
