Family Gathering Before Mom's Funeral, June 4, 2010

We had a really nice Italian dinner served to our whole family (about 60 of us) on Tuesday night before my mom's funeral on Wednesday.  My good friends Kim Hancock and Sharma Robertson provided everything and it was wonderful!  They got most of the food from Johnny Carino's and it was perfect!  So delicious and the amounts turned out miraculously to be just the right amount.  I don't think anyone left hungry. Here are Todd and Dale doing some catching up.

We have so many nice pictures of our family on this couch in our family room.  Such a nice gathering spot!

Lots of happy cousins playing on the trampoline!

It was such a nice evening.  Everyone had a chance to visit and really enjoy each other's company in a relaxed setting.  There was a visitation at Howe Mortuary beforehand and we were able to mingle with ward members and a lot of Mom's friends.  It was very nice and very personal.

Family meals at funerals are always bittersweet. It's so fun to get together and to reconnect with family you haven't seen in awhile but the reason that you're all together is sad.
Great pictures!
