Eric and his darling friend, Karen, went to the Sadie Hawkins dance at Niwot on Saturday night. It was a couples costume dance and they won the costume contest!! A big thanks goes to Ryan and Ali for sending the Scarecrow Halloween costume that Ali's mom had made for Ryan!
They went with a group of their friends and all had a really great time!
Also, this week, Eric sang in the Men's Choir in the Colorado All State Choir Concert. It was a great honor. He auditioned and was selected from thousands of kids all over the state to participate in this. They spent 2 1/2 days practicing and then had two performances on Tuesday. It was incredible! We were so impressed with the quality and the professionalism of the conductors, pianists, and most of all the students. They were given the music ahead of time and had to memorize all of their pieces over the last month on their own. It really was an amazing couple of days for Eric. He had a really great time and we were very proud of him.

Eric pulled off the scarecrow costume well! I'm glad we could help, and we were so excited to hear that he won the best costume!!! Also, congrats on the all state choir competition! You have such a talented family.

Very cute couple. Sadie Hawkins sounds like it's an improvement from when we had "MORP" at Niwot. Not surprised you made all State choir, Eric! I'll bet it was pretty intense work and a fabulous outcome!
