Reunion final day, Friday, July 31, 2020

Breakfast by Todd and Kimiko was her specialty of kielbasa, eggs and rice. It was so good. We had such good food all week. No complaints there at all. After breakfast we loaded up the three big vehicles and headed for Toquerville Falls. It was supposed to be a beautiful spot with a very rough road leading to it. I said I wasn’t going to bring my car there because of the reviews I read about how hard and rough the road really was. The reviews ended up being spot on and we made it partway up before turning around. It really wasn’t worth the risk of damaging those nice cars!

That picture is on a sandy part that was nothing compared to the rocky steep parts! It was scary and no one should attempt this unless you have a four wheel drive high clearance Jeep, SUV, or an ATV.  Justin had a rental car that did fine. It was a Toyota 4 Runner with oversized tires and up off the ground a bit. Even in that I was pretty anxious!

We decided to go to Quail Creek Reservoir instead and had another fun water day.

After the lake, we all just chilled a bit and then enjoyed Eric’s delicious dinner of bbq chicken, roasted asparagus, corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. Some of us pitched in and helped and it was a great last dinner together.

Sophie had suggested a nighttime, glow stick swim party, so we did that our last night. It turned out to be a big hit.

Such a fun reunion! So happy we got to share these few days together! Saturday morning, we cleaned up, packed up, ate up what we could of what was leftover and headed home. Lots of sweet memories packed into four amazing days!  Until next time!
