I'm also grateful today for my husband, Mike! He is my hero. He believes in me like nobody's business. He saved me when my life was falling apart and has been there for me ever since, through thick and thin, through the good times and the hard times. He's funny, goofy, smart, handsome and he loves me in spite of myself. He is my rock in the storms of life and my constant in this world of uncertainty. He believes in God and our Savior, Jesus Christ and he honors his priesthood. Who could ask for anything Moore? I love you, Mike Moore.

What marks the start of summer for you? One thing around here is shave ice huts! We stopped on our bikes for our firsts of the season this week. We forgot how big the smalls are. From now on, we order minis! They were super good though so it was worth it!
Another is fires in our fire pit. We try to have them as often as possible in the summer, but haven't had as many this year due to the wind (and sharing backyard evenings with the hot tub)!
Violet and I put together a tiny fairy garden for her to play with and she loves it!
This week's Saturday walk/hike was the Corner/Canyon, Ghost Falls Trail in Draper. No dogs allowed so we missed having Bait with us. It was so beautiful and so green. The falls weren't much of a going concern, but still worth the hike up to take a peek at them.
Check out Moroni going down the chimney of this home below on the left. It was just a funny perspective shot coming down the mountain. ;) The Draper Temple is beautiful and sits up on a hill surround by so much amazing greenery. It was a special hike.
Afterwards, we ate brunch at Sweet Lake Biscuit Company in Draper. I had told Eric about how we should try it some time thinking there was only one which was further north in Salt Lake. He was googling places to eat in Draper and found that there was one right there by where we were. It was delicious! We grabbed a Swig after and headed our separate ways. It's a wonderful Saturday tradition!
We are having the gang over for a Father's Day/Meggy's birthday celebration this afternoon, so I'm off to cook some Yucatano Delicioso, as per Mike's request! It's a family favorite and feeds a big crowd so we should be set. Everyone's bringing some part of the meal which is always helpful. I'll post the pics next week!
Enjoy each day of this first week of summer with a happy and grateful heart. We can have a joyful and abundant life if we stop to intentionally appreciate all the beauty and blessings that surround us.
There truly is so much beauty all around us, we just need to look and experience it.
