Moore Fun Bike Riding, August 2012

We read somewhere that you can rent bikes and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge!  So, we did! There was a bike rental place just down the street from our apartment where we picked up our bikes and headed down to the trail which was right along the water front. We had to ride up a big hill on the street to get to the bridge, but the rest was quite flat and comfortable.  The views were breathtaking and the weather was perfect.  It wasn't foggy at all.  The next day when we drove out of the city across the bridge it was completely fogged in!  We rode across the bridge and then down the hill into Sausilito where we had our lunch at a little cafe on the water.  Our bike rentals included a ferry ride back to San Francisco so after lunch we hopped on the ferry with our bikes and headed back.  We had an excellent view of Alcatraz.  We came into the pier and rode our bikes back to our apartment.  We had such a good time.  We were pretty exhausted, but after a short nap, we were ready to ride the trolley car to Union Square and find a place to have dinner.....
