Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2011

Christmas Eve!  Our first Christmas at 2109 Springs Place.  We had a traditional ham dinner and then we read the Christmas Story and The Night Before Christmas, opened jammies, and just enjoyed being together.

Cute, happy cousins in their matching Christmas jammies.

The babies love their Aunt Hannah and she sure loves them!

We went to Sacrament Meeting at 9 am and had a wonderful Christmas program.  Hannah, Mike and I sang in the choir.  It was really nice to have Christmas on Sunday to celebrate Jesus' birth.

We had our traditional apple pancake breakfast and then opened presents while the babies napped.  After presents, we got to Skype with Eric!  It was so wonderful to get to see him and talk to him.  He looked great and very happy!  He was at Phil Robertson's (our good friend and ex-bishop)sister's house in Gainesville, Florida. What a small world.  He got transferred to Gainesville the Wednesday before Christmas.  That seems like it would be hard, but Eric takes everything in his stride and has a really good attitude about whatever comes along!  So proud of him.  It was definitely one of the best gifts of Christmas getting to talk to him!

Mike all wrapped up in the Sherpa throw that Glen and Kendi sent!

Todd in his new scarf striking a GQ pose.

Sadie and Sophie woke up and opened their presents!  They loved everything they got and enjoyed tearing open the packages.

Two cute grandbabies with their new baby dolls.

The girls helping with the fondue for Christmas dinner.  They are all wearing their new aprons that they got for Christmas.  The fondue was yummy, but we nearly set the house on fire with the oil!  I put too much into the pot and when we put it on the table and put in the first piece of meat, it boiled over spilling onto the flame beneath and we seriously had a two foot flame right there on the dining room table!  It was pretty scary!  Luckily it went out quickly and no one was hurt.

Grandpa and Sadie in their matching outfits!  We had such a nice Christmas in our pretty new home with some of our wonderful kids, their spouses, and two of our adorable grandchildren.  We wish we could have been with all of our family.  We sure thought of them and wish them all the merriest of Christmases!
