The last of the celebrations for Todd and Kimiko's wedding was held at our house in Longmont, Colorado on September 5, 2009. We had a lovely backyard open house from 7 - 9 in the evening. The weather was perfect! We had a little bit of a scare when the skies started to get dark and cloudy and we felt a couple of rain drops, but it quickly passed and it was a very comfortable night. Our married couple was beautiful and very happy!

We had fun decorating the yard for the festive event!

We worked hard all summer long keeping things green and keeping all the flowers alive! We achieved our goal and everything looked great!

We had lots of fun visitors who came to help! Dave and Viera came up from Santa Fe. They are so much fun to be with and very hard workers! We love it whenever we can get them to come to visit. My sister, Nancy, also came from California. She took pictures all evening and of course we failed to get a single one of her!!

Here's Mr. Melon head! The end results after all the melons were made into nice little balls!

Eric and Nick Jones were our ice cream servers. It's always fun to have the kids' friends around to help out.

We kept all the food in the color scheme of the wedding--green, brown and white. My friends Carol and Shelly and my sister, Nancy, made the wonderful, delicious cupcakes!

Everything looked so beautiful. Our ice cream cones were baby size and we served chocolate and mint chocolate chip ice cream. We also had fruit kabobs with honeydew, green grapes, and kimi on them.

Green and brown balloons for the mailbox.

Todd helping out in the backyard along with Molly in her little green bow!

Our fun feature of the night was a campfire! It was cool enough to get away with it. Everyone enjoyed sitting around chatting and warming themselves by the fire. Hannah's friends, Marriah, Maddy, and Marissa Brasga came to help out and keep her company.

Lots of twinkly lights gave it a fairyland look!

Signing in.

I had a lot of help from my sweet friends. Julia Riewerts, Shelly Trane, Carol Sessions, Sharma Robertson, and Kim Hancock helped serve and kept things running smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Friends are so wonderful!

Kimiko's parents, Gary and Nancy Kamo flew down for the party. They are such wonderful people and we enjoyed having them here with us.

Mike and his faithful companion, Molly!

Whey, it's almost over! Kimiko relaxing at the end of the evening.

Later on after the open house was over, Todd and Kimiko opened their gifts. They got a lot of nice things and were happy they made the long drive to Longmont. I think they were also happy that they were finished with all of the wedding stuff and could go back to Logan and settle into married life! They are a darling couple and we are so proud of them and happy that they found each other and decided to get married!

Everything looked so wonderful. You have a great yard. It is nice you have such good helpers. They do make a wonderful couple and seem really happy.
Everything looks so perfect - down to the last detail! Can I hire you for our first wedding reception someday? It looks like everyone had a part, even Molly. I wonder what Ralphie would do with a green bow around his neck in the backyard. That's really cool that Dave, Viera, Nancy, and the gang came too! Yay Todd and Kimiko! Back to Logan!
I agree everything does look so perfect. But really would we expect anything less? Glad that you had such great help.
Seeing your back yard makes me miss you guys! Hopefully we'll be able to visit again soon.
