Elder Todd Griffith--mixing with the local kids. We got to talk to Todd for a couple of hours on Christmas Day and he sounds so great! He is so happy and loving every minute of his mission. He doesn't really have an accent to speak of, but he spoke some Bulgarian to me and he sounds like he knows what he's saying!!
This is just the second time in 17 months that we have gotten pictures from Todd. Needless to say we were thrilled to see that he looks healthy and so happy! Is it just because I'm his mom, or does he absolutely exude the light of the gospel in his smile?
He only sent pictures--no descriptions, so we can only imagine who the people are or as in this picture, what he is doing!? What a cute expression on his face!
Hanging with the homies!!
He actually did describe this picture--he said that they ate this pig nose, in fact, they ate the whole pig's face! Yuk! Didn't say whether he threw up afterwards or not!!!

These two young men are soccer players who recently moved to Bulgaria from Ghana to play professionally. Todd said they were so ready to accept the gospel and it was a really cool for him to get to teach them and be a part of their baptisms.
Not sure, but I think this might be a branch activity. It will be interesting to have him describe the boys in the vests and what the significance of that is. Anyway, he is having a blast sharing the gospel. He is having some really great success despite the fact that a lot of people there don't really like the missionaries or the church. He is definitely paving the way along with the rest of the mission for great things to come. We are certainly proud of him! He's only got 7 months to go and then he'll be home again! The time is speeding by for him and for us!
A happy family enters the waters of baptism.

I love the picture of him baptizing that person. I like that they are looking at each other with smiles on their faces. I can't imagine the excitement in a person of that age coming into the church for the first time. HOW neat!
When you write him again, tell him the Utah Moore's say Hi!
Todd looks very happy and it sounds like he's really enjoying his mission. You don't have to post it on your blog if you don't want, but would you email us his address so that we can send him a letter or email?
Great pictures. Todd looks like he is enjoying his mission. He also seems to be doing a good job of bringing people into the gospel. It's great seeing the pictures of him.
I love those pictures! Todd looks so good. He looks older to me...
That is so cool he baptized those two soccer players. He does look really happy!
He does look older and more mature, I thought it was someone else in the baptism picture, he's gone gray and grown his hair out kinda long and even has a belly, I guess a mission will do that to ya.
