August & Sept. 2022: Bikes, Luau, Emmy & Austin's visit, Labor Day

August was a busy month!  It flew by.  We finished up the last week with a trip to the dentist, book club at our neighbor Wendy Bennett's (I Capture the Castle), midyear meeting for ERA, a Luau for UCAR (real estate), and a fun visit from Emmy and Austin.

Hannah started her practicum as a final year social work master's program student.  She's working with women with post-partum depression and is enjoying her work.  We are so proud of her!

We frequently had these visitors this year!

Enjoying our midyear meeting while eating popcorn and candy, drinking Diet Coke, and sitting in movie theater recliners.  Our CEO, Neil Walter is addressing us.

I belong to the Utah County Area Real Estate Board and they had their annual luau that Mike and I attended in Orem.  We had good food and great entertainment!

We rarely get visits from our granddaughter, Emmy and her husband, Austin, who live in Logan, but are so happy that they came to visit us for Labor Day Weekend.  They both graduated from USU in the Spring of this year and Emmy is now a third grade teacher at the elementary school across the street from where they live.  Austin is getting his MBA from USU and also interviewing at dental schools, hoping to be enrolled in one next school year.  Cute hardworking couple! Our cute Meg came with us.  It was fun having the two sisters together!

They had never been to Ashton Gardens so we had to take them.  It was a gorgeous day!

We had our annual end of summer family gathering on the Sunday before Labor Day.  It's always a good time!
