July was a busy month with lots of fun events. Valerie Brady Schuman and her family and her mom, Miga, and her husband Ulises, came up to visit Bob and Melissa and to see their new home in Salem. We got to see them all for a little bit. We met up at the stained glass exhibit at UVU in Orem. It was so great to see everyone and the exhibit is extraordinary. It's not really an exhibit because it is a permanent fixture in the library there. It is definitely something worth seeing.
We had the privilege of going to Jaxon's baptism on July 23rd in Logan. He didn't feel ready to be baptized when he was 8 years old which is customary in our church, but he asked his parents if he could be baptized now. (He'll be 10 in August). He was taught the missionary lessons by the missionaries and was excited to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He asked that Mike play piano and that I give the talk on the Holy Ghost. He asked Kimiko's mom to give the baptism talk. It was a very special day for all of us but especially for Jax.
