North Carolina Part 3, February 4-14, 2020

We got to spend a couple of days in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Mike and I had never been there before so it was fun to go.  It is a resort beach destination in the summer (with 60 miles of continuous beaches) but this time of year it's pretty quiet.  We enjoyed walking on the boardwalk in Murrell's Inlet and lunch at Bisqit.  We stayed at a really nice Hampton Inn right on the beach.  The Atlantic Ocean was right outside our window and we enjoyed sleeping to the sound of crashing waves.

Just happened to run into our President, Donald Trump outside the wax museum!

We had such a fun time in Myrtle Beach!  Who needs the hot burning summer sun and crowds anyway?  We loved it!  On our way back to Southport, we stopped and shopped a little bit at Home Goods and TJ Maxx, Nancy had to scope out some places to shop since there is literally nothing in Southport but a Walmart and some little gift shops.  We had lunch at the Mellow Mushroom before driving the hour back to their place.
