We left Manchester, NY, around 9:00 am on Saturday morning and got on the I-90 Tollway which took us straight to Boston. We made it all the way across the country without a single incident, accident, or ticket (knock on wood) and then about two blocks from our new apartment, we got pullled over for a moving violation!! We went straight on a right-turn only and got nailed!! The officer was very kind when we told him we had just arrived that very moment! He smiled and gave us a warning to not do that again! We thanked him and went on to meet the zone leaders who helped us move in!
We stopped in Natick at the mission office on our way into Cambridge at met Elder Vail who is the office Elder in charge of senior housing and finances. He has been such a huge help to us and we appreciate him so much. He gave us a quick tour of the office and an overview of the mission and sent us on to our new home for the next six months!

| Our apartment is the one directly above the little cafe (where the umbrella and yellow doors are). It's awesome and we couldn't be more happy to have this be our home for the next few months! |

We spent the evening unpacking and going to the grocery store for a few essentials. We dropped into bed totally exhausted about midnight. Around 9 am we got our first phone call from the sisters serving in our ward inviting us to ward council and missionary correlation. We attended both, sang in the choir in Sacrament Meeting, went to Sunday School, RS/Priesthood Meetings, then went to some wonderful members house with the sisters for dinner, then back to the church for a big stake meeting with the stake president about some major issues that are affecting our stake. It was a very big and exciting day for us. We feel loved and accepted and needed here!
Today was our first P-day! We mopped floors, did a little laundry, met another senior couple, Elder and Sister Foote (from Dallas) for lunch at PF Changs. They are on their second mission and are a really great resource for us. He's in the same profession as Mike, so they can perhaps work together on some similar type projects or assignments. After lunch, we came to the church to write letters, pay bills and blog. We don't have internet in our apartment yet, so we are very happy the church is close by! We will pick up the sister and take them to a dinner appointment this evening where we will start getting acquainted with the ward members! Off we go!

Lucky you got a nice officer. Your apartment building looks so cute and your apt.
Way to hit to road running. Good luck and thanks for keeping up to date. Get Nancy on the blog band wagon.
