Moore Fun in Utah! August 18-22, 2011

My nephew, Spencer Brady, got married in the Salt Lake Temple and we decided that was a great excuse for a trip to Utah!  We love going to Utah to visit some of our kids and some of our sweet grandkids.  We split up the weekend between Glen and Kendi's house and Tyler and Jaimee's house.  Time is flying by and both Maggie and Sophie are walking and even saying quite a few words.

Kendi and I took the kids to Sugar House Park to feed the maniacal fowl there!  Truly they are fed too much because they pretty much attacked us.  A goose bit Carter's hand and another one bit me on the leg!  It was pretty crazy!

So many different kinds of birds--geese, ducks, pigeons, etc.  They seemed to come out of nowhere and swarmed us!

Spencer married Brittney Thompson.  They are a beautiful couple and it was a beautiful day.

Mike, Bob, and Dale (the three stooges, 3 amigos, you decide). It was fun being with a lot of our family.

Gotta love the flowers at Temple Square!

Tyler, Jaimee and Sophie came for the reception.  Spencer and Brittney had a beautiful dinner/reception in one of the upper floors of the Joseph Smith Building. I loved showing off my little grandbaby!  She's saying lots of words now, and we are trying to teach her to call me Grammy.  She almost got it right.  She called me "Magry!"  I love it!

On Saturday, Tyler and Jaimee had lots of fun things planned for us.  First, we hiked up in the hills behind Herriman (where they live).  It was really beautiful.  Sophie got all snuggly on Tyler's back and sacked out.

Sophie exploring!

After our hike, we had lunch at a pretty park on the way back to their house.  The ducks were a little nicer and there weren't so many as at Sugar House!  Thank goodness!

We missed the Utah parade of homes, but we did get to see this copy of the house from  UP that is in Herriman.  They said that during the parade of homes, they had a whole bunch of balloons over the house.  Check out the names on the mailbox.  So sweet!  After we got back to their house, we went swimming in their neighborhood pool.  Todd and Kimiko drove down later in the afternoon from Logan.  We ate at Zupa's and played Farkle!  It was such a fun day!

Babies are so sweet and so much fun to read books to!  Here's Sophie and Grampa reading, "Are You My Mother"--one of our family favorites!

Sophie and Kimiko snuggling after church.

We were so glad that Todd and Kimiko were able to come see us.  They are both very busy with work and school.  Todd is starting his Master's Degree and was in the middle of a very rigorous math course with his midterm coming up and Miko had to work on Saturday, so they were really awesome to break away and come down.

Sweet, happy family!

Sophie and her "Magry"

Sunday afternoon we headed back to Glen and Kendi's.  We took a fun walk around their neighborhood.

Carter getting things ready for the first day of school which was on Monday.  So fun to be there to see Carter and Bess head off for their big day!

Carter thought this was a girly picture, but they sure are cute kids!  We had a great weekend!  Loved every minute of it!  Can't wait til the next event that brings us over!
