Home Again! January 4, 2019 Longmont, Colorado

We spent the first couple of days of the new year packing up and cleaning out our apartment.  It was certainly a bittersweet time.  We will miss our little one bedroom apartment on the third floor with no elevator, dishwasher or washer/dryer.  We will miss our view out our patio window of the Salt Lake Temple.  We will miss our new friends, both the senior and young missionaries. We will miss living downtown and serving in the Family History Library on Temple Square. We will miss our family home evening MTC group who we have truly grown to love! We will miss being so close to several of our kids and seeing them frequently.

Our FHE social group; Elder and Sister Converse, Elder Bob and Sister Sherri Rudy, Sister Lynn Rains, Sister Sandra Burbank, Sister Sue Brown, Sister Nerita Flake, Sister Clara Nelson, Sister Cotton, Sister Marilyn Ostenson, Sister Sandra MacDonald, not pictured, Sister Penny Sessions and us!

We looked forward to being back in our home, ward and town and so on January 4th, we hit the road smiling with our little dog on my lap and a song in our hearts!

We traveled across Wyoming on a beautiful clear day with no snow coming down or blowing across the freeway.  We were so grateful!  We arrived home and were welcomed by these sweet balloons from our dear friends, the Trane's.

Addie was welcomed home by her little friend, Franklin!

Hubby is happy to be home!  Happy to have our little gal, Addie, back on his lap.

Happy to be back to our Colorado grandkids!

Happy to be back to our lovely view of Longs Peak and nice enough weather to walk around Golden Ponds.

Glad to be back to yummy breakfast, lunch and dinner dates with dear friends!

Our home was left in very good condition and we are so grateful to our renter's for taking such great care of it.  We had to do a few small things to get it back to where we left it, but considering we were gone for 18 months, things looked remarkably good.  We had decided to sell our home and relocate to Utah before we came back.  I knew it would be hard once we got here to leave again and it really is so hard!  We have a wonderful life here and will always treasure every memory we have of the past nearly 50 years we have been in Colorado!

We listed our home on January 11 with Steven Noel's Remax Alliance Agency and on January 17, we got a great offer and went under contract with a closing date of February 28!  We listed it fast because we figured it would take a while to sell.  Our heads are swimming with how fast this has happened but feel like we have put our lives in the Lord's hands and He will guide us along.  I was given the advice when we left our mission that I shouldn't worry about the future, that I should just come home and watch it unfold!  Well it's unfolding rather quickly and I guess we better just hold on and go with the flow!!
