We are getting to know the area much better and don't rely on our GPS nearly as much as we used to. We know several routes to the temple. We can get to the freeways, to a couple of malls and a lot of restaurants without it. We can find Nancy and Dale's apartment with our eyes shut! Just kidding! We can walk or drive or take the T to Harvard Square or to downtown Boston! Now that we are finding our way around, it's about time to go home! But not yet! We still have a few more weeks and we plan to work hard up to the last minute!
We love the time we get to spend with the Braithwaites. Since we have always lived in different states (us in Colorado and them in California) we usually just see each other once or twice a year if we are lucky. It has been such a treat to see each other 2-3 times a week!
Here are the "boys" as we call them, enjoying some down time at the Braithwaite's apartment. We work together at the temple on Thursday and afterwards we grab some food and usually head over to their place for a while. They live close to the temple so it's really convenient.
On Fridays, Elder Moore and I have been walking the 2.2 miles from our apartment to our district meeting. It takes us under an hour and it's very invigorating. We love it when we finally make it to Harvard Square and know that we are only about 5 minutes from the chapel where our meetings take place!
It's beginning to look like Christmas around here! We love passing by the Anthropology store every week. They have the best windows!
On Saturday, after a busy day of appointments, we met up with the B's for dinner at the Summer Shack. We had all wanted to try it since we had heard a lot of good reviews about it. It's a delicious and charming seafood restaurant. We were not disappointed. It was delicious and fun!
For our p-day this week, it was rainy and cold. We had decided to go to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, but at the last minute changed our minds and headed in a different direction. We went to Assembly Square in Somerville which is one of the malls we have discovered and love. It has restaurants, outlets, TJMaxx, a movie theater and a whole lot more. We had a great day!
Here we are at the Burger Dive! Check out the Burger Dive Mobile below!
After lunch we shopped a while at the Christmas Tree Shop (which is actually a very large Big Lots type store). It was crazy! Then we went to the movies! It's hard to find a good movie that is appropriate for us to see, but we settled for Disney's new animated film, Super Hero 6. We had a good time. Cute movie. Would have been even better with a few grandkids along, but, hey, whatcha gonna do?
The view from the movie theater lobby was awesome. That's the Charles River with the boats in the background. After the movie we went to JP Licks for some hot chocolate (Best in Boston), then did a little shopping at TJMaxx and had dinner at a cool restaurant called Earl's. It was a perfect, rainy p-day and it was all right in this one great spot, ten minutes from our apartment!

A couple of noteworthy news items this week:
Mitt Romney spoke at the BYU Forum yesterday. Eric got to go hear him and we watched a recording of it. We love technology! Go here to see it yourself: http://www.byutv.org/watch/event/f06f62c3-8e51-4e54-89c4-0de39f17e2ca
President Henry B. Eyring, 1st Counselor in the First Presidency of our church, as well as Elder L. Tom Perry (one of the Twelve Apostles), and Bishop Gerald Causse, from the Presiding Bishopric are all in Rome at the Vatican at a summit on marriage and family with the Pope and other religious and secular leaders from around the world. President Eyring gave a wonderful talk about his own courtship and marriage and the importance of marriage in society. He quoted several paragraphs from "The Family, A Proclamation to the World." I guess that's it for another week in the lives of Elder and Sister Moore! Have faith in our Heavenly Father's plan for you and in our Savior's Atonement. Let what He did for each of us work for us in helping us to overcome our troubles and trials and to help us get on or stay on the path that will lead us to happiness in this life and the life to come.
Love you all!

I love that picture of Dad laughing. My favorite times with Dad are when we're sitting around cutting it up. Sounds like the season is changing there. Christmas in the East is really magical, especially in the city with snow. It'll be all over and done before you blink twice.
Catching up on your blog. So great that you can have so much fun mixed in with working hard.
we also saw Big Hero 6. We really enjoyed it. It looks like you all are keeping busy. How nice it must be to do stuff with the Braithwaites.
